The BRAP Committee on Awards and Recognition is delighted to announce that the BioRisk Association of the Philippines 2015, Inc. has officially opened its search for the BRAP 2024 Biosafety Champion. This exciting initiative aims to recognize and honor exceptional individuals in the fields of biosafety, biosecurity, and biorisk management throughout the country.

The BRAP 2024 Biosafety Champion is an exceptional and inspiring individual who has earned recognition from the local biosafety community for their remarkable contributions to enhancing biosafety, biosecurity, and biorisk management practices in the Philippines. This champion will actively embody the role model for others, emphasizing the critical importance of individual commitment in the ongoing battle against infectious diseases through the effective implementation of biosafety practices.

We encourage all biosafety, biosecurity, and biorisk management practitioners to take part in this country-wide search by nominating deserving candidates who have made a significant difference in the field. By highlighting their achievements, we hope to not only celebrate their success but also inspire others to strive for excellence in these crucial areas.

• March 1 to July 15, 2024: Nomination period
• July 16 to August 15, 2024: Awards ad hoc committee deliberation
• September 5, 2024: Announcement of BRAP 2024 Biosafety Champion and Awarding ceremonies coinciding with the BRAP Annual Convention.
